// Garmin Dynamics POD for Power
Back in stock early Feb-18
Garmin will support Power measurement on their own devices using the Running Dynamics POD, you'll need either a Fenix 5 or Forerunner 935 with the latest IQ 2.4 software for it to work though.
In our opinion, it would be best to buy a Stryd power meter and pass on this Garmin option.
If you want to know more about how this will work read this article.
The Running Dynamics Pod computes and sends 6 running dynamics metrics to your compatible device.
- 1 Battery life: replaceable battery lasts up to 1 year (assuming 1-hour daily use)
- Automatically turns itself on and off
- Clips to your waistband and tiny size: at less than 14g, you’ll forget it’s there
- Compatible with devices that use Garmin Connect™ Mobile app to automatically sync your data
NOTE: Measuring power from a waistband clip (as opposed to foot pod) will give a less accurate result due to the dampening effect of the body when trying to measure the acceleration and moment. For a more accurate power reading, buy STRYD
